State-of-the-art urology and andrology diagnostic testing — all under one roof at our Nairobi clinic. Fast, accurate, confidential. Same-day results for most tests.
URO-CARE's in-house laboratory is equipped with modern diagnostic analysers that deliver clinical-grade results for urology, andrology and general health testing — all within the same visit.
No more waiting days for results or travelling between facilities. Our specialist reviews your lab report immediately and discusses findings with you in the same consultation.

Comprehensive urology and andrology diagnostics — all processed in-house for same-day results.
A simple blood test that measures PSA levels — the primary screening tool for prostate health and early detection of prostate cancer. Recommended for all men from age 40–50.
Complete sperm assessment covering count, motility, morphology, volume and pH — the cornerstone of male infertility diagnosis. Advanced DNA fragmentation testing also available.
Comprehensive male hormonal profiling — testosterone (total & free), FSH, LH, prolactin, DHEA and oestradiol. Essential for diagnosing ED, infertility and hormonal imbalances.
Serum creatinine, urea, electrolytes and eGFR to assess kidney health and function — vital for monitoring kidney disease, stone patients and before procedures.
Microscopic urinalysis for red cells, white cells, casts and bacteria. Urine culture identifies the specific organism causing a UTI and guides targeted antibiotic therapy.
Complete haematology panel — haemoglobin, white cells, platelets and red cell indices. Used pre-operatively and to assess anaemia, infection or inflammatory conditions.
Fasting blood glucose and glycated haemoglobin for diabetes monitoring — critical since diabetes is a leading cause of erectile dysfunction and urological complications.
Chlamydia, gonorrhoea, syphilis, hepatitis B & C, and HIV screening — relevant for urethral discharge, epididymo-orchitis, prostatitis and unexplained male infertility.
Total cholesterol, HDL, LDL, triglycerides and cardiovascular risk markers — important for ED management since vascular health is directly linked to erectile function.

URO-CARE offers PSA testing, semen analysis, hormone panels (testosterone, FSH, LH, prolactin), kidney function tests, urine culture and sensitivity, full blood count, STI screening, blood glucose, HbA1c and lipid panels. Most results are available same-day within 1–3 hours.
Most routine tests — PSA, FBC, kidney function, hormones, blood glucose — are processed in-house and ready within 1–3 hours. Urine cultures take 24–48 hours as bacteria need time to grow. Semen analysis takes 2–3 hours. Your specialist can discuss results in the same visit for fast-turnaround tests.
Some tests require fasting — blood glucose, lipid profiles and HbA1c require 8–12 hours without food. PSA, hormone panels, FBC and kidney function tests do not require fasting. For PSA specifically, avoid vigorous exercise, sexual activity and prostate massage for 48 hours beforehand. We'll advise you specifically when booking.
A PSA (Prostate-Specific Antigen) test is a blood test measuring PSA — a protein produced by the prostate gland. Elevated levels may indicate prostate cancer, benign enlargement or prostatitis. URO-CARE recommends screening from age 40 for men with a family history of prostate cancer, and from age 50 for all others. African men have a higher genetic risk and should not delay.
A standard semen analysis at URO-CARE evaluates: sperm count (concentration), motility (percentage moving forward), morphology (shape), volume, pH, liquefaction time and white blood cells. Advanced analysis includes DNA fragmentation. You will produce a sample privately in our collection room. Results are ready in 2–3 hours. All results are completely confidential.
Low testosterone (hypogonadism) is a common and treatable cause of erectile dysfunction, low libido, fatigue and infertility. A simple blood test measures total and free testosterone. If levels are low, hormone replacement or other targeted treatments may significantly improve erectile function and energy levels. Hormone testing is part of our standard ED workup.
Yes, 100%. All laboratory results — especially sensitive tests like semen analysis, STI screening and hormone panels — are handled with complete discretion. Results are stored securely and shared only with you and the specialist who ordered the tests. No information is disclosed without your explicit written consent.
No referral is required for most tests. You can book directly by calling +254 112 288 709, WhatsApp, or our booking form. However, for some specialist tests (e.g. DNA fragmentation), a prior urology consultation is recommended so the results can be properly interpreted and acted upon. Call us and we'll advise.
